On last week’s electrifying episode of WWE Raw, tensions boiled over as IYO SKY defended her WWE Women’s Championship against Rhea Ripley, with Bianca Belair serving as the special guest referee. What was supposed to be a clear-cut rematch turned chaotic, ending in a double disqualification, allowing SKY to retain her title.
However, Ripley’s hopes of capturing her seventh WWE title were dashed—at least for now.
In response to the controversial outcome, Raw General Manager Adam Pearce made a decisive move to settle the score. During a contract signing segment on Raw, Pearce made it official: IYO SKY will defend her WWE Women’s Championship in a Triple Threat Match at WrestleMania 41 against Rhea Ripley and Bianca Belair.
Although Pearce expected a quick agreement, Belair had something to say before signing. The EST of WWE acknowledged Ripley’s intimidating presence but welcomed her into the match, stating:
“If I can survive my friends turning on each other at Elimination Chamber, I can leave WrestleMania as champion.”
Ripley attempted to fire back, but Belair cut her off, slamming the contract in her face. Just as tensions reached a peak, IYO SKY silenced the bickering by delivering a missile dropkick from the top rope, taking out both challengers and sending a clear message: she’s ready for WrestleMania.
While no women’s match will main event either night of WrestleMania this year, this Triple Threat showdown could easily set the tone as a show opener—especially if a new champion is crowned in front of the Las Vegas crowd.
With three of WWE’s top female superstars in one high-stakes bout, this match is shaping up to be one of WrestleMania 41's must-see moments.
