AEW Collision Results (April 5, 2025): Sit-Downs & Shenanigans Before AEW Dynasty
The final AEW Collision before AEW Dynasty brought chaos, controversy, and some straight-up comedy. With major stars like Mercedes Moné, Adam Cole, and Daniel Garcia on the card—and yes, Max Caster running his mouth—the go-home show gave us some tasty appetizers before tomorrow’s main course.
Let’s dive into the action (and occasional nonsense).
Main Highlights from AEW Collision
Adam Cole & Daniel Garcia: Sit-Down Showdown
Adam Cole and Daniel Garcia had a tense, table-hugging convo with the TNT Championship glimmering between them. Cole complimented Garcia—because, manners—but made it clear he's coming to Dynasty to take back what he almost won last time. Garcia clapped back with "17 years of chances, now it's my turn," and walked out after Cole got real about Garcia not being ready to lead.
Tension Level: Awkward family dinner meets final boss monologue.
Match Results & Reviews
Powerhouse Hobbs & Tomohiro Ishii vs. Konosuke Takeshita & Kyle Fletcher
This one felt like a random team generator pulled four names and said, “Let’s go!” Despite the thrown-together feel, the action delivered. Fletcher closed the deal with a piledriver + brainbuster combo that made chiropractors everywhere cringe.
Winners: Takeshita & Fletcher
Grade: B
Review: Solid banger, but felt more like an exhibition than a feud-feeder.
Max Caster’s ‘Best Wrestler Alive’ Open Challenge (a.k.a. Roasted and Toasted)
Caster talked big, but then Mark Briscoe showed up and shut him down with a Jay Driller that sent Caster's ego (and spine) into orbit.
Winner: Mark Briscoe
Grade: C
Review: Max's mouth ran faster than his legs. Briscoe made this a fun squash with a crowd-pleasing twist.
Top Flight vs. CRU
High-flying mayhem, as expected. Dante & Darius Martin picked up the W, but the real story came post-match when Andretti & Rush had a full-on meltdown. AR Fox and Nick Wayne made the save, leading to Tony Khan announcing a Trios Match at AEW Dynasty Zero Hour.
Winners: Top Flight
Grade: B
Review: The in-ring work was cool, but the post-match setup for Dynasty stole the spotlight.
Cash Wheeler vs. PAC
This match had interference written all over it—and delivered exactly that. Claudio and Yuta tried to stir the pot, but Cope came out to restore some balance. In the chaos, PAC snuck in a crucifix pin for the win.
Winner: PAC
Grade: B-
Review: More storyline setup than anything else, but still fun in that "oh great, everyone’s here" kind of way.
“Speedball” Mike Bailey vs. Dralístico
An absolute sprint of a match. Both men defied gravity, but Speedball Bailey kicked his way to victory. Post-match, Ricochet gave Bailey a cheap shot and delivered a Spirit Gun Strike (hello, anime fans 👋).
Winner: Mike Bailey
Grade: B+
Review: Match of the night! Then Ricochet showed up like a jealous ex with bad intentions.
Mercedes Moné & Harley Cameron vs. Athena & Julia Hart (Main Event)
Moné was booked, but she must’ve read her horoscope and decided not to get involved when things got messy. After Julia Hart submitted Harley, Mercedes simply... didn’t help. Yikes.
Winners: Athena & Julia Hart
Grade: B+
Review: A fun, chaotic main event. Moné’s no-show in the clutch moment adds serious intrigue heading into the Owen Hart Cup.

Backstage Mayhem:
- Thunder Rosa and Kris Statlander got into a slap-happy argument over their upcoming Owen Hart Cup clash.
- Jamie Hayter, Billie Starkz, and Kris Statlander were technically “in action,” but the match details were less memorable than the drama that followed.
Final AEW Collision Grade: B
Collision did exactly what a go-home show should: build hype, plant seeds, and tease just enough to get us foaming at the mouth for AEW Dynasty. While some matches felt like filler, the energy, twists, and promos brought it all together in classic AEW style.
